ADM Investor Services, Inc. (ADMIS) is a futures commission merchant located in Chicago and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Decatur, IL-based Archer Daniels Midland. The firm works through a network of Introducing Brokers, non-clearing FCMs, branch offices and sister companies across the United States and globally.[1]

History
ADM Investor Services had its roots in the 1930's when it focused on grain merchandising. In 1956 the firm expanded its offerings to include investment banking and stock trading services. In 1966 the firm changed its name to Tabor Commodities and was a clearing member with the Board of Trade. In 1975 the Archer Daniels Midland Company acquired Tabor Commodities and in 1985 changed the name to ADM Investor Services.
Company News
- After MF Global Holding Ltd. declared bankruptcy in late October of 2011, CME Group announced that MF Global customer segregated account positions would be transferred to two or more of the following five clearing members in good standing:ABN AMRO, ADM Investor Services, Dorman Trading, FC Stone, R.J. O’Brien & Associates, and/or Rosenthal Collins Group.[2] By February 2012, ADMIS had picked up a total of $315 million in new accounts since the MF Global bankruptcy, a 13 percent increase.[3]
- On February 11, 2010, ADMIS announced that Thomas R. Kadlec would succeed Richard Dodson as president of the firm beginning March 1, 2010.[4]
- ADMIS announced on June 20, 2008 the acquisition of Iowa Grain Co.[5]
