Alex Jacobson is the education officer of International Securities Exchange (ISE, LLC).
Background
From 1985 to 2000, he was with the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), most recently as vice president of business development. During his tenure at CBOE, Jacobson was instrumental in developing CBOE’s liaison to the brokerage community. He was also significantly involved in the initial development of the Options Industry Council and is a founding member of the Options Institute. Prior to 1985, Mr. Jacobson was a top-producing broker and options trainer at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc.
Jacobson has been quoted in the financial media and has taught in the training schools of major brokerage firms and several foreign derivatives exchanges. He is also a contributing author to the book Master Traders published by Wiley Publishers in late 2006.
Education
Jacobson has an M.B.A. in Finance from DePaul University, Chicago, and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois.
