The American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) is a non-profit association formed to provide information about stocks and investing to those who are new to the marketplace. The organization aims to arm individual investors with the education and tools they need to build wealth, with topics from trading stocks to financial planning.
History

In addition, the association says AAII's Shadow Stock and Mutual Fund Portfolios (real portfolios used to teach members about investing) have had lower risk scores and better returns than the S&P 500 for the last 10 years. AAII's purpose is to assist individuals in becoming effective managers of their own assets through programs of education, information and research. [1] AAII is a member of the Alliance for Investor Education.[2]
