BM&F Bovespa is the third largest financial exchange in the world by market capitalization. It was formed when BM&F and Bovespa agreed to merge on March 25, 2005 in a cash and stock deal.[1] Bovespa Holding, which operates the Sao Paulo stock exchange and BM&F, which operates the country's largest financial and commodities market, collectively handle about 80 percent of Latin America's stock trades and more than $67 million in daily futures trades.
The exchange provides the trading, clearing and settlement for securities, derivatives and foreign exchange products. It also structured transaction and financial products for OTC and cash markets.[2]
