Bruce Blythe is Chicago-based journalist currently working as an editorial consultant for the CME Group.
Previously, he was a business editor with Vance Publishing's Food360 agricultural division. At Vance, he was based in Chicago and contributed to several news websites, including CattleNetwork, Drovers, Pork Magazine, Dairy Herd Management and the Packer covering the beef, pork, dairy and fruit/vegetable markets.

Background
Blythe worked as assistant managing editor at Crain's from April 2007 to March 2009. At the publication, he directed coverage of Chicago-area companies, industries, government and the economy.[2]
He was a reporter at Bloomberg News from April 2001 to March 2007, where he covered major U.S. oil refiners, offshore drilling contractors, ethanol producers and grain processors for Bloomberg.
Prior to his time at Bloomberg, he was managing editor at agricultural Web portal and commerce site farmbid.com from March 2000 to December of 2000, where he directed news editorial operations for farmbid.
He also spent time as a staff reporter/deputy editor at Reuters America Inc. from October 1997 to February 2000 and worked as a staff writer/editor at Dow Jones Newswires. He was also a bureau chief/staff writer at Futures World News and a staff writer at the sports department of St. Joseph News-Press.
Education
Blythe is a graduate of Iowa State University.[3] He received a degree in agricultural journalism and graduated in 1990.[4]
