The CME Foundation [1] provides charitable giving that focuses on disaster relief as well as the diverse needs of the Chicagoland community.

History

The CME Foundation was started in 2001 with a $1 million contribution from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. to help individuals affected by the September 11 tragedies.

The Foundation provides support for programs that address children in need, education, and health and human services. The Foundation is aided in these endeavors by members of the exchange community: members, member firm personnel, CME Group employees and board members.

CME Foundation was ranked 32nd on the Corporate Responsibilities Officer magazine's 2007 List of 100 Best Corporate Citizens. [2]

Craig Donohue serves as president of the Foundation. James Parisi is the Foundation's treasurer, and Kathleen Cronin serves as secretary.
