COMEX Division

The COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) is the primary U.S. market for trading metals such as gold, silver, copper, aluminum and platinum. COMEX was formerly known as the Commodity Exchange Inc. It merged with the New York Mercantile Exchange in 1994 and became the exchange's metals trading division. NYMEX and its COMEX division are now part of the CME Group, Inc. [1]
