Cameron Gray joined the Intellectual Property Exchange International in January 2007 as the Director of Strategic Development. He is responsible for product development and identifying opportunities related to intellectual property in the marketplace.
Background
Prior to joining the Intellectual Property Exchange International, Dr. Gray worked in both the Investments and Expert Services practices at Ocean Tomo. He consulted on a number of engagements within the Expert Services practice including the determination of economic damages in patent infringement, trademark infringement, and trade secret misappropriation litigation. Within the Investments group, Dr. Gray was involved with Ocean Tomo's indexes business and IP-based mezzanine lending. He has also worked closely with the Risk Management practice and Ocean Tomo Federal Services.
Dr. Gray was a Managing Director with Promontory Interfinancial Network, a private company based in Arlington, Virginia offering liability solutions to banks. His role included sales, trading operations, and new product development. From 1998 to 2002, Dr. Gray was a trader with Watermark, a mid-sized hedge fund in Princeton, New Jersey focusing on relative value opportunities in G7 fixed income markets. Dr. Gray principally traded the fund's Japanese book by himself for three of his four years with Watermark. During this time, the fund's Japanese positions often represented more than 50% of the fund's overall positions. Dr. Gray traded U.S., European, Japanese, Australian, and Kiwi bonds, swaps, bond futures, and currency basis swaps.
Dr. Gray has been published in The Licensing Journal, Intellectual Asset Management, Journal of Investing, and EQUITIES Magazine. Dr. Gray has spoken at events for AUTM, CASRIP, and the DC Bar. Previously, Dr. Gray published three first-author papers on virology in peer-reviewed journals and presented work at a number of national and international scientific conferences.

Education
Dr. Gray holds a B.A. in Physics from Princeton University, a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of Virginia, and a J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law. Dr. Gray was an inaugural postdoctoral presidential fellow of Caltech where he jointly worked on theoretical cognitive neuroscience (Caltech) and 2-photon laser scanning microscopy of brain cortical slices (Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory).
