Cash market

A cash market is the market for a cash commodity rather than the market for its futures contract. Cash markets can be self-regulated centralized markets, such as commodity exchanges or over-the-counter markets where private transactions may occur. They can also be locations where one can purchase the actual physical commodity.[1]
