Colin Griffith is a director of the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX), and was formerly chairman and CEO of the organization after joining its parent - the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) - where he remains an executive director.
Griffith has more than 35 years of experience in the precious metals sector, starting in 1970 as a trader for HP Thompson on the London Metal Exchange, and holding positions at Mocatta, Credit Suisse and Standard Bank[1].
He joined the DMCC in 2003 as director for gold[2], and was appointed as chairman of the DGCX in January 2005, before relinquishing that role and becoming acting CEO in mid-2007. Malcom Wall Morris was appointed CEO in November of 2007.
