Keith Campbell is the founder of Campbell & Co., in Towson, Maryland, one of the largest commodity trading advisors in the world with more than $9 billion under management. Since he started the company in 1972, he has led the way in building acceptance for managed futures among institutional investors by combining attractive levels of return with a disciplined approach to trading and a continuous commitment to research. Campbell was among the first to get a public fund up and running and educating customers about managed futures.
Since that time, Campbell & Company’s investment products have evolved substantially. Today they provide a broader offering of absolute return strategies, no longer just within the realm of managed futures and foreign exchange. Once they have met extensive, stringent criteria and are proven to add value, proprietary trading methodologies are applied to a variety of markets and instruments including individual stocks. [1]
In 2006, Campbell was inducted into the Futures Industry Association Futures Hall of Fame.[2]
Affiliations
In his spare time Campbell heads the Campbell Foundation for the Environment, a non-profit corporation dedicated to finding solutions to the environmental problems facing the Chesapeake Bay.
