Daniel J. Roth is president and CEO of National Futures Association, appointed on January 1, 2003 after serving as the association's general counsel, executive vice-president and chief operating officer[1][2]. Roth currently serves as a member of the CFTC Global Markets Advisory Committee.[3] [4]

Background

Roth joined the Chicago-based NFA as an attorney in 1983, having previously served as an assistant state's attorney in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, where he was a member of the Official Misconduct Task Force of the Special Prosecutions Bureau. He was an associate attorney in general litigation with the law firm of Sidley & Austin, now Sidley Austin.

Education

Roth holds a law degree from Loyola School of Law and earned a bachelor of arts degree in communication arts from the University of Notre Dame. He has served as an adjunct professor at the Loyola School of Law and has authored numerous articles for futures publications.
