Danijel Medic is Head of Operations and Technology for the US Futures Exchange (USFE), joining the Chicago-based platform in 2004 for its launch under the Eurex US brand.
Background
Medic joined the start-up from its majority shareholder at the time, Frankfurt-based Eurex, where he headed operations for fixed-income futures and options, notably the benchmark Bund futures complex.
Education
Medic holds an MBA from Goethe Business School, and entered financial services in 1997 with DTB, the predecessor organization to Eurex, and worked on the Chicago Board of Trade's A/C/E electronic trading project while with the company. He also worked at Andersen, the management consultant, from 2000-2001 working for financial institutions and IT start-ups[1].
