David Downey[1] is the CEO of OneChicago, an exchange on which single stock futures are traded, jointly owned by Interactive Brokers, CME Group and the CBOE.
Background
Downey was named OneChicago CEO in January of 2007, replacing Martin Doyle, who had left the exchange in October of 2006.
Downey, a 24-year veteran of global securities and derivatives markets, was an executive vice president of operations with Interactive Brokers. He was previously with Timber Hill for 15 years, first in New York and finally in Chicago. He has also been a trader on the CBOE and a member of the CBOT and CME.
Education
Downey is a 1982 graduate of Boston College where he earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Political Science.
