Dennis Zarr is the chief operations officer of AlphaMetrix, LLC, an alternative investment research and management company founded in July 2005.^[1] Zarr was previously a senior vice president with Rand Financial Services.^[2]

Zarr has over 30 years of extensive marketing, operations and systems experience in the futures, securities, options and banking industries.

He is a former member of the Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Chicago Board Options Exchange, and the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. He is the past president of the Chicago Operations Division of the Futures Industry Association. Before making the move to AlphaMetrix, Zarr served as senior vice president and director of business development for Rand Financial Services, Inc.

While at Rand, Zarr was responsible for expanding the firm's institutional presence in the international and domestic marketplace.

Prior to making the move over to Rand in 1993, Zarr was executive vice president of a privately owned commodity pool operator, responsible for managed futures business development and marketing both internationally and in the U.S.

Zarr has held senior sales and operational positions at other major financial institutions. He has extensive experience in dealing with international and domestic money center banks, brokerage firms, investment advisors, pension funds, international government agencies and other financial institutions.

Zarr also headed global operations for ContiCommodity Services, Inc. in international futures organization and held various managerial positions with Bache Halsey Stuart Shields, Inc., Automatic Data Processing, Bradford National Corp. and The Midwest Stock Exchange.^[3]
