ETF futures

ETF futures offer investors access to ETFs with much lower capital requirements than purchasing an ETF directly.

The CME, in partnership with the American Stock Exchange (AMEX), offers investors three types of futures on ETFs. The contracts, which are electronically traded, combine CME E-mini stock index futures with the AMEX's ETFs.^[1]

Investors can choose from three differing contract offerings:

• CME Futures on Standard & Poor's 500 Depositary Receipts tracks large-cap stocks
• CME Futures on PowerShares QQQ tracks Nasdaq's top 100 non-financial stocks
• CME Futures on iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund tracks small-cap stocks
