Edemir Pinto is CEO of BM&F Bovespa, which was created by the merger of BM&F and Bovespa. Pinto took the position in May 2008.
Prior to taking the CEO's position, Pinto was CEO of BM&F from April 1999 to May 2008 when he took office at co-CEO of BM&F Bovespa. Pinto joined BM&F as an economist in January 1986. In July 1987, he was promoted to derivatives clearinghouse officer, responsible for risk management, settlement, participant registration, collateral, custody and controllership.[1]
