The DAX 30 (Deutsche Aktien Xchange 30, or the German Stock Exchange 30) is the blue chip index of Deutsche Börse AG. The DAX measures the performance of the Prime Standard’s 30 largest German companies in terms of order book volume and market capitalization. The index is based on prices generated in the electronic trading system Xetra. Its calculation starts at 9.00 a.m. and ends with the prices from the Xetra closing auction at 5.30 p.m. Zero spread and real-time: Indicative prices of DAX shares for private investors.

Close of trading in the maturing futures on the Last Trading Day is at the Beginning of the Xetra® intraday auction starting at 13:00 CET.

Option Months Up to 60 months: The three nearest successive calendar months, the three following quarterly months of the March, June, September and December cycle thereafter, the four following semi-annual months of the June and December cycle thereafter and the two following annual months of the December cycle thereafter.
Strike Prices Every 50 index points when a contract has 12 months or less to expiry. Every 100 points for contracts with 13 to 24 months until expiry. Every 200 points for contracts with 25 to 60 months until expiry
Exercise Style European-style (An option can only be exercised on the Final Settlement Day of the respective option series until the end of the Post-Trading Full Period (21:00 CET).
Option Expiration Day Final Settlement Day is the third Friday of each expiration month if this is an exchange day; otherwise the exchange day immediately preceding that day.
