The trading floor of an exchange provides a physical location for market transactions. With increasing speed, trading floors are becoming the stuff of history as exchanges move toward electronic platforms to host trading. Nevertheless, many exchanges around the world still employ trading floors and person-to-person communication to complete their trades.
