Frank J. Jones is a professor in the accounting and business department of San Jose State University and former chairman of International Securities Exchange LLC, a subsidiary of ISE Holdings and operator of the US options platform. He is one of 16 directors, joining the board in 2000 and assumed the chairmanship on May 11, 2006.[1] David Krell replaced him as ISE chairman on Jan. 1, 2008.[2]

Jones was executive vice-president and chief investment officer of Guardian Life Insurance Company of America from 1991 to 2002. Previously, he was managing director at Merrill Lynch & Co., for Global Fixed Income Research and Economics. He served on several boards, including The Intermarket Clearing Corporation (a subsidiary of OCC), the OCC and the New York Futures Clearing Corporation.


Education

He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University, an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, an MS in Nuclear Engineering from Cornell University and a BA and BS from University of Notre Dame.
