Frederick G. Uhlmann is a founding member and senior portfolio manager with Uhlmann Price Securities, LLC, a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. He is also a senior vice president with MF Global Inc.

Uhlmann was born in 1929 has been in the securities and futures industry since 1951.

Prior to his current positions, Uhlmann was senior vice president at First Options/LIT and a securities broker with its parent firm, Spear, Leeds & Kellogg. He has been with several Wall Street and futures firms, including Drexel Burnham Lambert from the 1970s through early 1980s.

Uhlmann served as the chairman of the Chicago Board of Trade, vice chairman of the National Futures Association, chairman of the Futures Industry Association and a board member of the Futures Industry Institute. He was also a founding board member of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. He currently serves on the NFA Membership Committee.

In 2005, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the futures and options community, Uhlmann was selected as an inaugural member of Futures Industry Hall of Fame, joining a select group of individuals including Alan Greenspan, Robert Dole and Leo Melamed.

Education

Uhlmann attended Washington & Lee University.
