Fumiki Kondo is Co-CEO of Instinet Inc., with primary responsibility for Instinet's European and Asian operations. He was appointed to this position on June 8, 2007. He also serves as Chairman of Instinet subsidiary Chi-X Global.

Background

Kondo previously served as managing director and head of U.S. equity strategic planning at Nomura Securities International in New York. He was seconded to Instinet, initially as co-chairman and president, after Nomura closed its acquisition of Instinet in February 2007. Kondo has held high-level positions in New York, London and Tokyo, including executive director of institutional equity sales at Nomura Securities Japan and executive vice president at Nomura BlackRock Asset Management.

Mr. Kondo holds a BA degree from Waseda University in Tokyo.
