Jacob Pechenik is the co-founder and president of financial technology firm YellowJacket Software Inc. He and the firm's chief technology officer, Greg Campbell, formed YellowJacket in 2002 with a focus on facilitating the trade of over-the-counter products.[1]

When the IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) announced on Jan. 31, 2008 that it would acquire YellowJacket in a deal that would close in February of 2008, Pechenik said distribution of YellowJacket technology and liquidity would continue to grow on its network by leveraging ICE's global distribution, asset class diversity and customer base. YellowJacket would become a subsidiary of ICE under the deal. [2]

Background

Prior to co-founding YellowJacket in 2003, Pechenik founded and served as the CEO of TechTrader, a provider of business-to-business enterprise software for public and private trading exchanges catering to the direct materials markets.

Pechenik has over 15 years of experience in developing and supporting enterprise-class trading platforms for large financial services and Fortune 500 companies. He is a frequent speaker and acknowledged industry expert and has been featured in numerous business publications and at conferences.

Education

Pechenik is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.[3]
