Jeffrey C. Borchardt is the president and chief executive officer of the Kansas City Board of Trade. In the course of his time at the exchange, Borchardt has seen the KCBT celebrate its 150-year anniversary.[1]
Borchardt is a contract market representative on the board of directors of National Futures Association[2]. He serves on board of directors of the Commodity Markets Council. Borchardt is also a member of the NFA Finance Committee and the NFA Appeals Committee
Background
Borchardt was elected KCBT president and CEO on Feb. 25, 2004. Borchardt joined the KCBT as a commodities investigator and auditor in 1982. He has worked at the exchange in compliance, regulation, finance and operations. He was promoted to Vice President-Compliance in 1987, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 1994, and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2000.
Education
Borchardt is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University in 1982 [3] with a BA in Accounting. He earned his certificate as a Certified Public Accountant in 1984.
