James J. Draddy, Jr. is senior vice president and chief regulatory officer of NYSE Arca, Inc.[1] He was appointed on August 3, 2006. He is is responsible for the regulation of equities and options trading on NYSE Arca, including exchange traded funds, exchange traded notes, and index linked notes. He is also responsible for the regulation of trading of certain NYSE products and services, specifically NYSE Bonds and NYSE MatchPoint.[2]

Draddy spent eight years trading various sectors of the corporate bond market. In 1996, he joined the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as a staff attorney.

In 2004, he joined the Pacific Stock Exchange (PCX) as Vice President of Equities Regulation. PCX was merged into Archipelago Holdings, Inc. in 2005. Archipelago later became NYSE Arca after it was merged with the New York Stock Exchange in 2006.

Education

Draddy received a bachelor of arts from Cornell University and a J.D. at New York Law School. He is a member of the bar in the State of New York.[3]
