John Lothian Newsletter
The John Lothian Newsletter is a daily e-mail intelligence briefing about the global exchange-traded derivatives, securities and related over-the-counter industries. The newsletter helps readers manage the historic level of change occurring within the derivatives and securities industries through the dissemination of information and commentary.
The John Lothian Newsletter launched during the summer of 2000 and was offered for FREE for its first three years. In 2003, the newsletter switched to a voluntary pay format. Readers are asked to pay for the newsletter if they find it valuable. Enterprise rates are available for organizations with five or more readers.
Paid subscribers to the newsletters are eligible to become content contributors to MarketsWiki.

History
The John Lothian Newsletter was launched by John Lothian during the summer of 2000 and was offered at no cost for its first three years. In 2003, John J. Lothian & Company, Inc. was incorporated, and the previously unnamed newsletter was formally named the John Lothian Newsletter.
John J. Lothian & Company, Inc. became registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and became a member of the National Futures Association in February 2004. As a registered CTA, John J. Lothian & Company, Inc. began accepting customer funds to trade as of December 1, 2004. The corporate Web site for John J. Lothian & Company, Inc. is www.johnlothian.com. Environmental Markets Newsletter was launched in June 2006. Initially, Laura Durnell was editorial assisant to editor Jim Kharouf and Rob Luke was a frequent contributor. Currently, Rachel Koning Beals is a contributing editor to EMN along with Rob Luke.
In September of 2008, Frontier Markets Newsletter was launched amid the peak of the 2008 financial crisis. Publication of Frontier Markets Newsletter was suspended in early 2009 pending a reworking of the format.
The John Lothian Newsletter - Metals Edition launched June 1, 2009.

In 2003, JLN switched from free to a voluntary-pay format. An annual subscription for the John Lothian Newsletter for 2009 is $115. Enterprise rates are available for organizations with five or more readers.
EMN is offered on a subscription basis for $150 per year. New readers are welcome to receive the EMN FREE for one month. Enterprise rates are available to organizations with 10 or more subscribers.
