Kevin Wenta was named at CME Group's director, strategy execution on February 13, 2009. In the newly created position, Wenta is responsible for working with the company's business units to identify, prioritize and track strategic initiatives to drive bottom line results.[1][2]
He reports to R. Jason Weller, CME managing director, corporate strategy.
Background
As of 2009, Wenta had 20 years experience in strategy, operational planning, sales and business development. Before taking the CME position, he served as executive vice president of Nanophase Technologies where he was responsible for transforming the company into a market driven organization. He also worked as a partner with Accenture, general manager of a $500 million global resin business and director of corporate strategy for Eastman Chemical.[3]
Education
Wenta earned his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and his MBA in finance and economics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
