Lee Sachs is a counselor to U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner. Sachs has announced that he plans to step down from his position in April of 2010.[1] Sachs said publicly that he would leave the position because his chief objective - stabilizing the financial sector as a precursor to strengthening the economy - had been largely achieved.
