In July of 2006, Lightspeed Financial acquired E*Trade's professional trading division and their ETP technologies for an undisclosed amount.[2]
In February of 2010, it was announced that Lightspeed Financial had acquired NobleTrading. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.[3]
Other acquisitions on the part of Lightspeed Financial include retail trading firms Schonfeld & Company, LLC, and Integrity Trading Inc.
Products and Services
Lightspeed Financial offers brokerage services and an array of proprietary software including a direct market access platform, a suite of middle-office technology, a market data platform, an algorithmic trading platform and a risk monitoring system for the equity markets.
