Luc Bertrand has been involved in management positions in the securities industry for more than 25 years.

He served as vice chairman of the Montreal Exchange board from 1996 to 1997 and as chairman from 1998 to 2000. He also is chairman of the board of directors of the Montreal Climate Exchange (MCeX), the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC), Boston Options Exchange (BOX), the International Financial Centre of Montreal, Market Regulation Services Inc. and the Securities Industry Advisory Council.

Bertrand also serves on the Executive Committee of BOX. From 1996 to 2002, he was a governor of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund, serving as vice chairman from 1998 to 1999. He also was a governor of the Canadian Securities Institute.
