MIST is an acronym created by the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Chairman, Jim O'Neil, for fast-track countries in the Goldman N-11 GDP Equity Fund. MISTs stands for Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea and Turkey. The countries, generally, have fast growing GDPs and younger populations than the U.S. and Europe. The fund was created on February, 2011.

The N-11 fund, which also includes Bangladesh, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Vietnam has outperformed Goldman's other emerging market fund, BRICs. [1]
