History

Macquarie Futures USA Inc. began operations in the U.S. in September of 2006.

In September of 2008, the business expanded with the purchase of Shatkin Arbor Inc., a Chicago-based clearing firm on the CBOT and CME.[2]

Recently the clearing offering was expanded through the addition of memberships on NYMEX. In October 2009 the business opened its newest office in Chicago to support the expansion of the business.

On Dec. 9, 2009, Chicago Climate Futures Exchange (CCFE) announced that Macquarie Futures USA Inc. had become a trading privilege holder (TPH) of the exchange. TPH rights enable an individual or company to receive a discount on transaction fees. TPH rights also enable Macquarie Futures to become a clearing member of CCFE.[3]
