Mark Yallop has spent the past four years as chief operating officer with British interdealer broker giant ICAP Plc, which trades in the over-the-counter (OTC) market. Yallop is chairman of ICAP's group risk committee, a board director and a member of its finance and treasury committees, and has also served as ICAP's interim financial director.

Background
Prior to joining ICAP in 2005, Yallop served for two years as chief operating officer for the Deutsche Bank Group after career spent in financial trading in the derivatives, cash and forex markets.[1] He was also a director of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) from 1996 to 1998.

Yallop stated recently that ICAP's main priority over the next few years was positioning itself as "the leading provider of OTC derivatives trading platforms" as the firm expects the OTC market to switch to completely electronic trading in that time, Reuters reported.[2] ICAP executives also expect central clearing of derivatives to continue advancing significantly over the next year.
