Martin Koopman spent seven years with Orc Software - last as president of U.S. operations - and left the company in March of 2008 to travel. Jesper Alfredsson, vice president of trading solutions, and Steve Lukes, vice president sales, assumed all key management responsibilities related to Orc Software upon Koopman's departure.

Background

Koopman spent five years as president of Cameron Systems[1] and two years with Orc Software[2]following its acquisition of Cameron Systems in 2006.[3][4][5] Prior to Cameron Systems, Koopman worked as a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group.[6]

Professional Associations

Koopman served as a member of the global steering committee of FIX Protocol Ltd. and co-chair of the Americas's committee from 2005-2007.[7]

Education

Koopman graduated from the University of Waikato in Hamilton. His mother is a professor of social gerontology at the University of Waikato. His father is the chairman of Southern Cross Language Institute.[8]
