Michael Bass [1] is the global head of Commodities for Standard Chartered Bank, a position he assumed in April 2008. Bass also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association. [2]

Background
Previously Bass served as global head of Interest Rates and Foreign Exchange for the bank [3]. Bass joined Standard Chartered in 2001, from HVB, in the role of global head of Interest Rate Derivatives. He has been based in Singapore since 1996, having previously been employed in derivatives trading by Nomura in London and Hong Kong.
Education
Bass has an M.A. in Economics from Trinity College, Cambridge.
