Michael Fertik is the CEO of ReputationDefender, an online reputation management and privacy company founded in 2006.[1] Previously, Fertik was founder and president of a start up technology company called the TruExchange, which built a trading match engine that is today part of the CME Group's electronic option trading platform.[2]
Fertik created ReputationDefender to defend a person and their family's good name on the Internet. He is also founder and chairman of Campaign for a National Majority (CNM).

As CEO of ReputationDefender, Fertik serves on the advisory board of The Internet Keep Safe Coalition (iKeepSafe), a non-profit that works for the health and safety of youth online.
In 1999, Fertik helped launch BrandStamp, an online product registration service.
Additionally, Fertik taught at Harvard University and has worked as a lobbyist in the anti-tobacco lobby. He is a published author on numerous topics and has served as assistant director of Fairfield County ACT!, a non-profit trust with notable experience in state-level legislative advocacy.[3]
In 2001, Fertik created Fertik's Law to describe the phenomena where "increasing entropy geometrically increases arbitrage opportunities." Fertik's Law was first published in the John Lothian Newsletter on December 17, 2001.[4]
Education
He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. After law school, he clerked for Chief Judge Danny J. Boggs of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals of the United States.
