NFA's Appeals Committee [1] consists of five directors appointed by the board. These individuals serve two-year terms.
Mission
NFA Members have the right to appeal adverse NFA Hearing Committee decisions, and the Appeals Committee itself can order the review of a Hearing Committee decision. In either case, when an appeal is filed, it automatically stays the effective date of the disciplinary action. Decisions of the Appeals Committee are final, subject only to review by the CFTC.
