Peter Reitz is a member of the executive board of Eurex, the derivatives platform jointly owned by Deutsche Börse and the SWX Swiss Exchange, and managing director with Deutsche Börse with responsibility for business development derivatives markets.

He is a board member of the US Futures Exchange and The Clearing Corporation.

Reitz joined Deutsche Börse from university as a product manager in 1991, moving in 1995 to become group leader product development, with responsibility for inaugurating the Dax indexes, the German bond index and the exchange's volatility index. From 1997-1998, he headed the information products department, and from 1998-1999 was chairman of Stoxx, the index provider jointly owned by Deutsche Börse, Dow Jones & Company and SWX. From 2000-2001 he headed research and development for Dow Jones Indexes USA.

He became a member of the Eurex executive board in 2001, with responsibity for product development, marketing and sales. In 2006, his portfolio was expanded to include trading and clearing market development, legal affairs, human resources and media relations.

Education

Reitz received a Degree in Mathematics from the Technical University of Braunschweig in Germany, in 1991 [1].
