Peter Reitz is a member of the executive board of Eurex, the derivatives platform jointly owned by Deutsche Börse and the SIX Swiss Exchange, and Eurex Clearing, as well as managing director with Deutsche Börse with responsibility for business development derivatives markets.
In addition, Reitz holds several leadership positions with various strategic businesses at Eurex, including his role as chair of the supervisory board at the Borzen Southpool Regional Energy Exchange AG and as a member of the board of the U.S. Futures Exchange, L.L.C.
He currently serves on the CFTC Global Markets Advisory Committee[1] [2] and previously served as a member of the board of The Clearing Corporation.

Background
Reitz joined Deutsche Börse from university as a product manager responsible for Indexes in 1991, moving in 1995 to become group leader of product development, with responsibility for inaugurating the Dax indexes, the German bond index and the exchange's volatility index.
From 1997-1998, he headed the information products department with responsibility for indexes and statistics, and from 1998-2000 he served as head of IP Design and Functionality at Deutsche Börse in Frankfurt, with responsibility for indexes, statistics, data feeds, master data and all information product systems.
From 2000-2001, Reitz headed Global Business Development for Dow Jones Indexes USA.[3][4]
In 2001, Reitz became a member of the Eurex and Eurex Clearing executive board, with responsibility for product development, marketing and sales. In 2006, his portfolio of responsibilities shifted to focus on business and trading market development, including Eurex Bonds and Eurex Repo.
Education
Reitz received a Degree in Mathematics from the Technical University of Braunschweig in Germany, in 1991.[5]
