RTS is a solutions provider for the trading community that creates, designs and hosts multi-asset electronic trading software.^[1] Customer groups include institutionals, brokers, hedge funds, professional traders and algorithmic traders. In 2005, RTS moved its data center operations from an internally-managed center to Equinix's Chicago Internet Business Exchange (IBX) center.^[2]

RTS has offices in several cities around the world including Amsterdam, Chicago, Frankfurt, London, New York, Paris, Singapore, Stockholm and Sydney. It is headquartered in Frankfurt.^[3] RTS also has distribution partners in Greece (Unisystems S.A.), Italy, India (Essex India), Japan and Taiwan.

1997: RTD Realtime Trading Desktop was launched

News

It was announced in a press release on Nov. 3, 2008 that Engelbert Gemuenden would retire as chairman of the company’s executive board, effective Oct. 31, 2008. The company said that he would assume a worldwide non-executive advisory role as chairman of the firm’s supervisory board. It was also announced that Steffen Gemuenden, co-CEO of RTS, would become CEO and chairman of the executive board upon his father’s retirement.
