Raul Malmstein [1] is chairman of the Management Board of the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority, a position he assumed in 2006. Malmstein serves as the EFSA representative on the Committee of European Securities Regulators.

Malmstein came to EFSA from Cresco Securities AS, where he also served as chairman of the Management Board. Previously he spent several years with the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs, and prior to government service he was with Hansa Asset Management, a subsidiary of Hansabank.

Education

Malmstein has a diploma in Economics from Tannin University of Technology. He also received a M.Phil (sociology) from the Graduate School of the City Univeristy of New York.
