Richard A. Ferina is deputy CEO of Newedge, the brokerage joint venture formed in 2007 between Calyon Financial and Société Générale's Fimat unit[1]. He is a board member of the Futures Industry Association.
Background
Ferina was previously chairman and CEO of Calyon Financial prior to the creation of Newedge in August 2007. He was appointed CEO in December 2002 and added the chairman's role in March 2003. Ferina joined the company in 1990 and was appointed to head its Carr Futures unit in 2002. He started his career at Conti Financial, a division of Continental Grain, and previously launched and headed the futures division at Drexel, Burnham, Lambert.
