Rita Maloney is director of marketing, business development, corporate communications and media relations for the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX). She came to MGEX in April of 2008. Maloney has over 20 years of media experience.[1]
Background
Prior to joining MGEX, Maloney worked at WCCO radio[2] where she served as business editor and anchor and was instrumental in the development and coordination of the all-business talk radio format on KCCO.
Maloney has held positions at other media outlets in the Minneapolis and Pittsburgh regions as well. She won the Media Support Award from the National Association of Girls and Women in Sports, Minnesota in 2007.[3] She was also named one of the “Women to Watch” by the Minneapolis Business Journal in 2002 and was one of “Pittsburgh 50 Finest” from Pittsburgh Magazine in 1997. Additionally, Maloney has won numerous Associated Press Awards for her news coverage.[4]
