History
Rosenthal Collins traces its roots to the formation of Greene and Collins in 1923 as a clearing member at the Chicago Board of Trade, merging in 1977 with John S. Morris & Co. to form Collins Commodities. In 1988, Collins merged with Rosenthal & Co - started in 1970 by Leslie Rosenthal - to form Rosenthal Collins Group.[1]
The company has 15 branches with 115 corresponding brokers, trading 70 million contracts a year. With more than 20,000 customer accounts, it manages $700 million.
On Oct. 15, it was announced that Rosenthal Collins and MG Financial LLC, a provider of online trading services in the foreign exchange (FX) market, announced had completed an exchange of equity interests in the two companies. The transaction resulted in MG Financial becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of RCG.[2]

News
On June 30, 2008 RCG and GAIN Capital Group, LLC, a retail foreign exchange (forex) trading firm, announced they had embarked on a reciprocal initiative for offering clients products and services. RCG introduced RCG ForexTrader, a white-label version of GAIN’s online spot forex platform. In turn, GAIN began providing access to RCG’s futures and options trading capabilities via the GAIN Capital Web site Gain Capital site.[3]
