Russell R. Wasendorf, Jr. is the president and chief operating officer of PFGBEST.com, a privately held non-clearing futures commission merchant. He joined the company in 1987 and was named president on January 14, 2008, after previously serving as chief operating officer.
Background
Wasendorf is one of three founding members of the FX Industry Association created in 2007.[1] During his tenure at PFGBEST.com he helped launch BEST Direct, one of the first electronic trading platforms to link directly to the CME Group’s FIX API connection to the Globex trading engine in 1998. Also he created a FOREX Division, facilitated multiple acquisitions and aided in the expansion of the PFGBEST.com network of introducing brokers to nearly 400.[2]

Wasendorf is a graduate of the University of Iowa, Iowa City.
