Sree Sreenivasan is the dean of Student Affairs at Columbia Journalism School, a position he assumed in 2008. [1] He also serves as contributing editor and technology reporter for DNAinfo.com, a news site covering Manhattan. [2]

Sreenivasan has taught at Columbia for almost 20 years. He's also been a fixture on NYC-area television for more than eight years. From 2007 to 2009, he was WNBC-TV's tech reporter, he appeared as the "Tech Guru" on WABC-TV for six years and he guest-hosted segments of "Asian America" on PBS. As a freelance journalist, he has written for such publications as the New York Times, Business Week, Popular Science [3] and National Journal. He is co-founder and former president of the South Asia Journalists Association (SAJA).[4] He is a former administrator of SAJA's awards and scholarships programs and continues to serve on its executive board and write for its blog, SAJAforum.org.
Education
Sreenivasan has a bachelor of arts in history from St. Stephen's College, Delhi and a master of science degree in journalism from Columbia.
