Ted Naganawa is a U.S.-China strategist and president of Ted Naganawa LLC, a U.S. research consulting company that provides U.S.-China strategic advisory services for institutional clientele. He's been living in Chicago since 1994 and, until October 2007, worked for the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) as an independent consultant.[1]

Naganawa is a frequent visitor to China, Hong Kong and other parts of the Greater China area. In the first half of 2008, he spent part of his time in Shanghai, China as a visiting scholar at China Center for Economic Studies, Fudan University and a part-time professor of Chinese economy at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

Until 2005, Naganawa was at J.P. Morgan Futures Inc. in Chicago, specializing in U.S. Treasury products and Eurodollars from macroeconomic and geopolitical perspectives. Prior to that, he was at Cargill Investor Services, the brokerage division of Cargill.

In recent years, Naganawa has been a frequent author of essays and analysis on U.S. politics, free market economy, Hong Kong issues and immigration reform. More recently, he published works at www.tedstrategy.com, which focuses on financial, economic, and political strategies within and between the U.S. and China.

Education

Naganawa has an MBA from Rice University in Houston, Texas. There he majored in finance and graduated with honors, receiving the Financial Executives Award in 1994.[2]
