Telebanc Financial Corp. was a national, low-cost marketer of consumer banking services that began operations in 1989 and was bought by E*Trade Group Inc. in 2000.

Telebank eventually changed its name to E*Trade Bank and continued to operate out of its headquarters in Arlington, Va.
