Savage is a regular television commentator on CNN, CNBC, PBS and NBC on financial issues and investing. She is a nationally syndicated Chicago Sun-Times personal finance columnist. Previously she was a stockbroker, trader and currently is a Registered Investment Advisor and Commodity Trading Advisor.

She was a founding member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange.^[5]
