Products and Services
TT's flagship X_TRADER order entry platform is a widely-used platform that connects traders with the world's largest derivatives exchanges. It incorporates single-click trade execution and high-speed connections to the world's busiest futures exchanges and offers real-time fill and position details. The latest version of this trading platform is called X_TRADER 7. TT patented its MD Trader, a vertical market depth display that allows immediate interaction to market ebb and flow.
X_TRADER was named "Innovation of the Year" by FOW magazine in 2007 and "Best Buy-Side Commodities Trading Platform" by Buy-Side Technology Magazine in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012. X_TRADER 7.11 with ADL also was named “"Best New Product from a Technology Firm for Trading and Execution" by FOW magazine in 2012 and “Best New Product” by Markets Media in 2013.
Unique to X_TRADER is ADL, a visual programming platform that represents a major breakthrough in algorithmic trading. Using drag-and-drop building blocks, traders and programmers alike can rapidly design, test and deploy automated futures and options trading programs without writing a single line of code. ADL empowers traders to generate executable strategies in hours to seize and act on fleeting market opportunities in timeframes that were previously thought to be impossible. ADL was recognized as "Innovation of the Year" by FOW magazine in December 2010 and named a finalist in the Chicago Innovation Awards that same year.
Other key products that are integrated with X_TRADER include Autospreader, Autotrader, X_STUDY and the TT SIM simulation solution. TT’s X_STUDY charting and analytics application was named “Best New Specialist Product” by The Technical Analyst in 2009. Additional products available to X_TRADER customers include the TT User Setup and X_RISK modules for risk and administration.
To extend the power of the underlying platform, TT offers a family of application programming interfaces (APIs) that allow users to create customized applications and integrate third-party applications with TT's system. These products include TT API, FIX Adapter and X_TRADER API.
TT also offers the Strategy Engine family of server-side execution solutions for algorithmic, spread and synthetic trading. The SE products leverage proximity-based computing and a scalable multithreaded server design to deliver sub-millisecond performance regardless of the distance between the trader’s computer and the exchange. The SE product family includes Autospreader Strategy Engine, Synthetic Strategy Engine and Algo Straetgy Engine.
TT clients can choose to host their trading network internally or utilize TT's fully managed hosting network, TTNET. Firms can easily distribute X_TRADER screens to clients around the world from TTNET hubs in Chicago, New Jersey, São Paulo, London, Frankfurt, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney. TTNET customers can focus their resources on trading activities while specially trained TTNET technicians handle all responsibilities of network administration, hardware configuration, infrastructure maintenance, data line management, upgrades, backups, security and user support.
TTNET customers have the option of utilizing TT's MultiBroker ASP solution, which allows traders to route orders to multiple brokers from a single X_TRADER screen or API through a single DMA network.

Rick Lane of Trading Technologies Talks Mobile Trading and Legacy Systems (Part 1/2)
Rick Lane, chief technology officer of Trading Technologies is overseeing a major overhaul of how Trading Technologies develops its solutions. In part 1 of this two-part video with JLN editor-in-chief Jim Kharouf, he talks about mobile trading trends, the legacy challenges for the futures industry and rebuilding Trading Technologies’ entire architecture — and how this will all come together. In Lane’s view, rethinking the way technology is built and delivered means finding a balance of buying existing software and combining it with new solutions, a departure from the firm that traditionally built everything in-house. In June 2010, TT acquired TickIt Trading Systems. During the same month, TickIt was named one of the finalists in Red Herring's North America initiative to honor cutting-edge companies and technologies that are positioned to grow at an explosive rate. Prior to the acquisition, TickIt received the Illinois Technology Association’s 2010 Newcomer Award, which is given annually to the Illinois company that has the strongest potential to emerge from its start-up phase and distinguish itself in the technology marketplace.
