Uhlmann Price Securities was founded in 1966 by Fred Uhlmann, a former chairman of the Chicago Board of Trade, as an independent, full-service boutique brokerage firm. Later, Tom Price, owner of the Price Futures Group and Price Asset Management, invested in the firm, which was renamed Uhlmann Price Securities. Uhlmann Price is registered as an independent FINRA member firm and as an Introducing Broker with the National Futures Association. The company has custody and clearing agreements with RBC Dain, MF Global and Merrill Lynch.

The firm, headquartered in Chicago, has office in the Chicago Board of Trade Building.
